HANK’S STORY

Picture

Hank isn’t scared any more. He is sitting safely in a foster home now. Sadly at only 1.5 years old Hank was surrend-ered to a kill shelter. His coat was a mess and full of mats and he was so scared in the shelter. Thankfully a no kill rescue group responded to Homeward Bound Waggin’s request for help and Hank was transported to safety. One of the HBW volunteers even groomed him before transport so he was looking good and ready to irmpress upon arrival. According to the rescue group he was a hit at his first adoption event.
TRANSPORT

WHY TRANSPORT?

*Just like many other things, shelter animals are affected
              by supply and demand!

*Animal shelters in other areas of the country actually
have shortages of animals to adopt out. In our area
             this is NOT our problem!

*In order to save as many lives as possible, transport
            organizations send animals from overpopulated
and overcrowded areas that have plenty of room.

*Animals who sit in shelters for months in our area
often get the same day of arrival after transport!
